YOUR IMPACT
The Lead Special Education Teacher provides educational instruction and develops Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students aged 3–21 with emotional, developmental, and/or behavioral needs. This includes supervising staff, implementing clinical and teaching programs, and maintaining safety and compliance within the classroom
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Valid Massachusetts Teaching License with Special Education (Severe Disabilities) certification
- Eligible to teach in MA through DESE
- Master’s degree in Special Education preferred (or enrollment in a Master’s program for DESE waiver).
- Designs & delivers individualized instruction for students with disabilities
- Knowledge of MA Special Education laws and IEP development
- Classroom experience MondayFriday, structured setting
- Experience with students who are nonverbal, on the autism spectrum, prone to tantrums, runners, or wheelchairbound preferred
- Strong teaching, communication, and interpersonal skills; knowledge of ABA principles.
