Full Time | Competitive Pay - Up to $65/hr based on experience

YOUR IMPACT
The Lead Special Education Teacher provides educational instruction and develops Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students in PreK–2 with emotional, developmental, and/or behavioral needs. Responsibilities include supervising staff, implementing clinical and teaching programs, and maintaining safety and compliance within the classroom. The teacher collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to support individualized learning goals using evidence-based strategies.The position is at a licensed private special education day school known for its individualized instruction and evidence-based behavioral framework.

WHAT YOU NEED:

• Valid Massachusetts Teaching License with Special Education (Severe Disabilities) certification
• Eligible to teach in MA through DESE
• Master’s degree in Special Education preferred (or enrollment in a Master’s program for DESE waiver).
• Designs & delivers individualized instruction for students with disabilities
• Knowledge of MA Special Education laws and IEP development
• Classroom experience MondayFriday, structured setting
• Experience with students who are nonverbal, on the autism spectrum, prone to tantrums, runners, or wheelchairbound preferred
• Strong teaching, communication, and interpersonal skills; knowledge of ABA principles.
